Google Responds (Quickly!)
I heard back from Google today. They did not mess around on the bus issue. They copied the bus company (Bauer limo) and asked what’s up. Bauer responded quickly too (within about half an hour) and said:
It is not our policy to be in the first or left lane when traffic is light…we will address this issue with all of our drivers tomorrow.

Lessons learned? One, customer service (or dealing with a potentially crazy customer who is friends with an employee) is not necessarily dead. Ryan at Google and Lon at Bauer were all over this. Two, sometimes lots of people see an issue, but someone still needs to voice it. Many people agreed with me when I brought this up. It didn’t take much effort, only a few words, to get someone responsible to take a look. I’m guessing we’ll notice the response.
